A time to provide solace

Social Responsibility

Karunashraya is a palliative care hospice for terminally ill cancer patients. It provides patients with understanding, compassion and psychological support. The serene green surroundings provide soothing solace to its inmates.

Patients reside either in private rooms or dormitories. Critical patients are provided with 24-hour attendants. Latest technology and equipment provide the required palliative care.

A representative from Karunashraya took the ISME students around. She explained how the organization works and on what criteria they admit patients.

Students of ISME also contributed their bit in the form of money, chocolates, sweets etc. The visit to Karunashraya made students realise the transience of life and helped them realise why life ought to be treated as a celebration.
