MA Gallagher-ridden String Along, schooled by Ganapathy, took home the Karnataka Cup (Grade III) over a mile, the plum event of Sunday’s races here.
String Along upset favourite Becket, trained by Padmanabhan and ridden by YS Srinath, by half-a-length to annex the coveted trophy. NT Callow-steered Spearhead came in third place while Tomsk (C Alford up) took fourth.
In the upper division of the Own Opinion Trophy, Irfan Ghatala-trained Chul Bul Pandy, ridden by B Paswan edged out favourite Flying Snow by a head.
