CET results today

The wait is finally over. The results of the Common Entrance Test (CET), written by nearly 1.2 lakh students on April 27 and 28, 2011 for admission into professional medical, dental, and engineering undergraduate courses, will be out on Monday at 11 am.

Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya will release the results which will be available at all the 235 centres across the State thereafter. The results will be published on various websites by the afternoon.

However, less than 24 hours before the results, the two main official websites - www.kea.kar.nic.in and www.cet.kar.nic.in, have become unresponsive.

Both websites displayed: “The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”

Rashmi V Mahesh, Director of Pre-University Education, however, allayed the fears and said the websites would resume functioning in the morning.

A Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) official attributed the websites’ unresponsiveness to the uploading of heavy data and said there was no cause for concern.

The KEA staff is bracing itself for the big day. The entire work will be finished in the night itself to avoid last-minute glitches, sources said.

For the record, results will be available on several other websites as well.
Besides, another official website, www.karresults.nic.in, the results will be published on www.indiaresults.com, www.karnatakaeducation.net, www.examresults.net, www.results.karnatakaeducation.net, educationgateway.co.in, www.schools9.com, www.bangaloreeducation.com, and www.educhoice.org.
