'It's an experience I'll never forget'

The ongoing Celebrity Cricket League has brought out the cricketer in many stars.

From intense practice sessions to following a strict diet regime, many of the
celebrities were so focussed on their game that they refused to talk about anything but cricket.

When Metrolife met Tamil actor Arya, he had his game face on. Confident, as ever, he says, “People are going to come with lots of expectations from us and it is up to us not to disappoint them. We have been practising regularly for the past one-and-a-half months and now it’s our time to shine,” says Arya, who is known for his roles in Arinthum Ariyamalum, Pattiyal, Naan Kadavul, Madrasapattinam and Boss Engira Bhaskaran.

Popularly known as an action hero, Arya says that it is his action on the field that one can look forward to.

As a kid, I used to play cricket often with friends but I never thought I would be playing on such a professional level. As a team, we have really gelled well and the best part is that actors from different film industries have left their egos aside and come forward to play the game,” he adds.

Once the league is over, Arya says that he will return to movies with many memories and a stronger bond with his colleagues.

“It’s an experience I will never forget,” adds Arya, who will soon be seen in Avan Ivan.
