Pact on horticulture

The Dutch company, Greenport Holland International signed the MoU with Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export Corporation Ltd (KAPPEC) to facilitate uninterrupted raw material linkages, common industrial, environmental and physical infrastructure and linkage to market.

A high-level delegation of 40 members from the government of Netherlands led by Ambassador to India Bob Hiensch was in the City on Wednesday to chalk out development strategies in the fields of agriculture and horticulture with Karnataka.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa launched 'Samruddha Karnataka - Bounteous Karnataka - A sustainable agribusiness initiative,' a programme said to accord high priority on developing world class agri infrastructure facilities.

He said that Karnataka was leading in floriculture exports and all set to take full advantage of the available modern technologies to push forward agriculture and allied sectors.
