Rain fills Tunga reservoir to the brim

The inflow to the reservoir stood at 11,420 cusecs and 9,500 cusecs of water was released on Thursday, the reservoir authorities said. The reservoir can hold water up to a maximum of 588.24 feet.

Hulikal received a rainfall of 78 mm, Mastikatte 63 mm, Yadur 54 mm and Hosanagar recorded rainfall of 53 mm till Thursday morning.

The inflow to Linganamakki reservoir has increased to 5,223 cusecs. The inflow to Bhadra reservoir went up to 4,013 cusecs and the water level in the reservoir increased to 144 feet.

It rained 11.6 mm in Tirthahalli, 10.3 mm in Soraba, 2.6 mm in Sagar, 0.8 mm in Bhadravathi and 0.6 mm in Shimoga.
