INS President Kundan R Vyas said that incidents of attacks on journalists and newspapers establishments by anti-social elements pose a great threat to free and fair reporting and freedom of press in general.

Deplored the failure of the law enforcement agencies in providing security and protection to journalist, he called upon the Maharashtra government to take immediate steps to ensure that killers of Dey are brought to justice.

Conveying his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of Dey, Vyas said that Indian print media lost an eminent investigative reporter of high integrity and journalistic ethics.
