Cong Nadige begins in Kadur

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Congress Nadige-Janara Balige’ programme at Sri Veeranjaneyaswami temple in Heerenallur village on Wednesday. “The Congress has lost power over the years, owing to the Congress leaders who have been showing interest in boosting the self, thus ignoring rest of the party members. All must come forward and strengthen the party,” he asked the party members, adding that the party has no shortage of leaders, but there is shortage of local leaders. The party leaders should stick on to the party principles and attract more number of youth towards the party, he said.

Coming down heavily on the State government, he said the BJP government which has been utilisng the funds granted by the Central government for mid-day meal, MGNREGS, health and education, is simply blowing its own trumpet. “But we have failed to inform the public about the achievements of the Congress. It is the right time for the Congressmen to make the public understand the rampant corruption of the State government,” he said.

Former MLA K B Mallikarjun said that the Congress takes the responsibility of bringing social justice in the society by keeping the goodwill of all the communities. The Congress is doing its best to bring the downtrodden to the mainstream. He asked the Congress party workers to join their hands in strengthening the party.

District Observer of the campaign, Tarikere former MLA B R Neelakantappa said that the Presidents of two Congress blocks in Kadur taluk are enthusiastic to bring changes. With such leaders, the party’s future could be bright, he said.
