<p>BEML SC scored a convincing 6-2 victory over ISRO in an entertaining Super Division League encounter at the Bangalore Football stadium here on Friday.<br /><br />The procession of goals began with Karthigeyan, who scored in the 22nd and 65th minutes, with Stephen (24th, 50th), Sharath (43rd) and Madhukaran (60th) also getting into the act. <br /><br /><br />BEML started the match brightly, playing at a high tempo. After some good wing play from their wide men came to nought, they found the opener through former HASC player Karthigeyan. <br /><br />Mahesh Babu lifted a pass over the top of the ISRO defence for Karthigeyan, and the midfielder made no mistake in slotting calmly past goalkeeper Avijith Dey.<br />It was 2-0 soon after when Avinash’s cross from the left found Stephen perfectly for a tap-in. <br /><br />Sharath then got on the scoresheet, driving the ball low past the goalkeeper after latching on to a nice through ball down the centre from Karthigeyan.<br /><br />Best chance<br /><br />ISRO’s best chance of the half fell to Sujith G, whose acrobatic bicycle kick from 15 yards out was palmed on to the crossbar by goalkeeper Nisanullah Khan.<br /><br />It didn’t take long for BEML to find the target in the second half, Stephen again getting a tap-in from three yards out after some excellent work from Sharath on the left. <br /><br />ISRO pulled one back through Ashok, who found a first-time shot off a pass from PK Thamodaran into the bottom-left corner from nine yards out.<br /><br />Madhukaran made it 5-1 off a header from a Kalandhar cross down the right before Karthigeyan scored the best goal of the match. <br /><br />A corner from Rajesh found Karthigeyan just outside the box, and the midfielder unleashed a peach of a first-time volley into the top corner.<br /><br />Maju G further reduced the deficit four minutes later, but the day firmly belonged to the I-League II Division side. <br /><br />In ‘A’ Division, DYSH registered a thumping 9-0 win over Royals.<br /><br /><br />Other result: ‘A’ Division: DYSH: 9 (Kalivanan 26th, 59th, U Kumar 48th, 51st, 55th, Harish 72nd, Bejoy 81st, Ravikiran, 83rd, Mahesh Mahendran 88th) bt Royals: 0.</p>
