All govt staff to undergo three-phase training

Briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Higher Education Minister V S Acharya said an induction programme for the new employees was also envisaged. The training is expected to bridge the gap between the employees’ performance and the expectations of the public.

A high-level committee headed by the Chief Secretary will finalise the modalities of the training, he added.

According to official sources, all employees below IAS, IPS and KAS rank will go through a three-phase training programme in administration. The policy has been formulated following directions from the department of personnel and training of the Union government.
