JOIN USThe Barke police arrested two persons for stealing two-wheelers and using it through fake number plate On Friday. Two bikes worth Rs 85,000 have been seized from the arrested.
According to police, the arrested are Hajim (20) of Anjuman compound, Col Garden, Bokkapattana and Ahammed Sharwan (19) of Nandigudde. It was said that Hajim was stealing the two-wheelers parked on the roadside during night and was selling it to Ahammed Sharwan. A case has been registered.
Man ends life
A youth committed suicide as his family members did not allow him to marry his lover, at Ganjimutt Badaga Ulipadi Gandhinagara.
The deceased has been identified as Purushotham (24), a rickshaw driver.
It was said that he was having an affair with a girl which was opposed by his family members.
Bodies yet to be traced
The bodies of three youths who drowned at Thannirbhavi beach on Thursday have not been retrieved on Friday too. The search operation was carried out with the help of Coast Guard ship, but in vain. It may be recalled that Santhosh Poojary, Thilak and Deepak were drowned in the sea on Thursday.
Skeleton found
A skeleton of an old lady was found at her residence near KPT in Kadri .
According to police, Maria Aranha (76) who had lost her husband few years ago was living alone. It is suspected that she must have been died few months ago.
