<p>Ramakrishna (48), attached to Yeshwantpur traffic police station, hanged himself at his house at Briyand Circle at Cottonpet on Tuesday night. He is survived by wife and three children. There was no one in the house when he took the extreme step. <br /><br />In another incident in Byatarayanapura, a 19-year-old youth hanged himself at his house on Wednesday afternoon allegedly due to a love failure. The deceased was identified as Yogesh. He was working in a studio at Nagarbhavi. He was in love with a girl, but the girl had not reciprocated to his moves. He committed suicide when he was alone in the house.<br /><br />In a death note, Yogesh stated that he decided to take the extreme step as he was disappointed in life due to his mother’s death at an early age and his love failure. He clarified that no one was responsible for his death.<br /><br />Temple looted<br /><br />About 11 kg of silver ornaments and cash from the donation box have been stolen from Venkateshwaraswamy temple on Bannerghatta road.<br /><br />The temple is being renovated and the incident happened even as gates of the temple were locked, the police said.<br /><br />The thieves climbed the tree outside the compound wall to gain entry into the temple, sources claimed, while adding that they got inside the temple through the backdoor which the construction workers had forgotten to lock.<br /><br />The thieves have stolen articles and cash worth <br /><br />Rs six lakh to Rs eight lakh, including the ceremonial silver armour and the crown, temple chief priest Raviraj Bhat has said in his complaint with the Bannerghatta police.</p>
