The suspects were Keshav, 41, from Doddakallasandra, Raghavendra J, 30, from Jayanagar, Narasimha Murthy, 40, from Mattikere. Two others, Kumar and Dhruv, are at large. The police recovered Rs 8,200 in cash, weapons, five cellphones and a car.
On a tip, the police surrounded the suspects near DAV School on Pipe Lane between Konanakunte and Subramanyapura. The suspects told the police they were associates of Poojary, Kali Yogish and Harish Tolar, and were planning to rob the businessman at Poojary’s behest.
13 arrested for gambling
The police have arrested 13 persons engaged in gambling and have seized Rs two lakh in cash and 20 mobile phones. The arrested are Ramesh, Ram Murthy, Raju, Nagaraju, Ramesh, Venkataramana, R Manjunath, Suresh, Manjunath, Suresh, Raju, Murali and Pramod.
