It is learnt that kerosene vendor Afzal had allegedly involved in sale of petrol and kerosene for quite sometime. His shop was completely burnt to ashes during the fire mishap and the fire engulfed other neighbouring shops too. Fire personnel were rushed to the spot.
Tahsildar P Jayamadhav, inspector Shivakumar and sub-inspector Basavaraj visited the spot. Afzal is said to be absconding.
