The top police brass conducted an emergency meeting and reviewed security situation in the City. Additional forces have been deployed at all important public places and vital installations.

“Security was tightened especially at airport, bus stand, railway station and markets where there is a large scale movement of people. There is no need for panic. People  should immediately alert the police if they come across any suspicious movement of materials in an abandoned state,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) Praveen Sood said.

The police beefed up security at all entry points to the City and intensified night patrolling. All subordinate officers have been directed to be on constant vigil. Jurisdictional police deployed staff in and around IT, BT firms and places of worship, said another officer.

Home Minister R Ashoka reviewed security situation at bus stand and railway station. He went to the bus stop, railway station and a few malls accompanied by senior police officers.
