Over 600 relocated due to China floods

Sichuan province has been lashed by heavy rains since Tuesday, Xinhua reported citing the provincial flood control office. The floods have affected six counties in Garze prefecture, forcing at least 632 people to relocate. At least 73 houses were completely destroyed.

No casualties have been reported so far. Many highways were closed after being damaged in the floods. Continuous downpour has wreaked havoc in Sichuan since the end of last month, affecting more than 1.5 million people and leaving at least eight dead.
