Security beefed up at KRS

CCTV cameras installed at several places to monitor tourists

Bomb detection and dog squad have been summoned on Wednesday night which carried out thorough inspection at the premises.The main entrance of the reservoir, the 80 feet gates, entrance to Brindavan gardens have been scanned by the squads.

Dy SP A Lawrence visited the reservoir on Wednesday late night and supervised the arrangements.

A police team led by a sub-inspector and a head constable have been posted at the main entrance of the reservoir.

Inspector Venkateshmurthy paid a visit to the reservoir and Brindavan gardens for inspection. Vehicular traffic has been banned on the reservoir and passersby are denied entry on the reservoir.

Metal detectors

Metal detectors are being used for checking the tourists at the gardens. Police have been deployed at the Cauvery statue also.  

CCTV cameras have been installed at many places to monitor the activities of the visitors, said KRS police station sub inspector Preetham Shreykar. Dy SP Lawrence said that more police force would be deployed on the spot if necessary.
