Farmers in Kolar and Chikkaballapur district are facing difficulty in getting fodder for their cattle, owing to scanty rain in the districts. Reduction in the milk price by KOMUL, has increased the problems for the already over burdened farmers, a press release by the Unit said.
The prices of cattle fodder has also surged. In such situation instead of encouraging the farmers by rising the price of the milk, the price has been brought down by Ps 80, which is condemnable, they alleged.
The general secretary of the district unit C N Srinivasanaidu, and other members Venkataram, Krishnappa, T Chikkamuniyappa, Chikkanarayanappa, Gidnahalli Narayanaswamy, Venugopal and others have demanded to rise the milk price. They have also demanded for incentives.
