<p>“We are working with DIT for alternate measures that could take care of small and medium companies, and to come out with special schemes for them,” President Som Mittal told reporters on the sidelines of Nasscom HR Summit here.<br /><br />Stating that there were not many small companies as even if a small company needs to enter into a SEZ, they would be levied a Minimum Alternative Tax of 20 per cent, he said Nasscom and DIT are planning to come out with more schemes to support them.<br /><br />“We are actually telling them (the small companies indirectly) that there are no incentives for you ... at the same time, we have to remember that about 10-15 years back, the large companies of today were small. We need to encourage the small companies,” he said.<br /><br /> “We had very successful recruitment early this year and we believe there could be 2,50,000 new jobs created directly in this sector,” he said.</p>
