According to police, Kalibai Ismail Khan (40), Farook Ismail khan (19), Hasina Khan, Yasmin Khan and Rubina Khan were arrested yesterday from Sanjay Gandhi Nagar slum in Deolali Camp locality for setting 40-year-old Sushila Holkar ablaze, they said.
The provocation behind the incident was a quarrel between the Khans and the deceased over her pet who used to bark at them often.
Police said enraged over this, the accused soaked Sushila with Kerosene and set her on fire yesterday.Sushila, who sustained 66 percent burns, succumbed to the injuries in Nashik Civil Hospital last evening.
The accused were booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC based on the dying statement of the deceased, police added.
