BJP to seek special grants from CM

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, he said that the government has already sanctioned Rs 1 crore each for six taluk panchayats in the district. The fund will be used for various developmental works as planned by each of the Taluk Panchayats. As per the government order number 127, the TPs are allowed to use the fund for carrying out developmental works including improving water resource, road etc.

He congratulated the new CM on behalf of the District BJP unit and said that they are all set to welcome the CM during his visit to the district.

“As per the sources, the CM is scheduled to visit the district on Saturday. He will be welcomed with a grand procession from the Mangalore Airport, followed by a felicitation programme in Sanghniketan. However, his visit has not been confirmed. If not on Saturday, then the CM would come after August 15,” he informed.

He also said that the District BJP members would urge Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixith to resign, following her mention in the CAG report on Commonwealth Games Scam.
