Vidya Malvade played the role of the skipper who keeps her calm in the face of adversity to perfection.

In the City for a fashion event, Vidya says years after the making of Chak De..., she still nurses fond memories of the film including those about acting with the one and only King Khan. “I still remember that ‘Don’ was releasing during that time and SRK took all the girls of the Chak De... team to the preview. We were all so dressed up and I felt different from what we did on the field. Stylish clutches replaced hockey sticks during the preview. Our moments with SRK are unforgettable,” Vidya tells Metrolife.

Vidya plays the role of a professor-cum-author in Tum Milo Toh Sahi which is a tale of ordinary people at different stages of life and how their intertwined roots make them like a tree.

Apart from movies, Vidya is also a trained kathak dancer. Vidya confesses that she loves dressing up. “Not too loud and gaudy but I make sure that I look coordinated whether it’s in an Indian wear or a Western outfit. I must look good wherever I go,” she adds.

Vidya also spends a good amount of time in the kitchen where she dishes up something new every time. “I love food and love cooking too. It’s not just the traditional dishes that I cook up. I make even the very Western dishes like pasta, which is one of my favourites. I experiment a great deal with food,” she says.

Vidya says she hops into the City only by invitation. “Bangalore is a vibrant City, brimming with life and energy well after midnight. Looks like the City never sleeps,” she sums up.
