Accompanied by his deputy S K Modi, Kumar visited the Rajdhani Vatika where he tied the rakhi to a tree.
“Today, the people of Bihar should pledge that every one of them will plant at least one tree each and tie rakhis to trees across the state,” he told the gathering.
He highlighted steps taken by his government for planting trees under the ‘Green Bihar Programme’.
Modi, too tied rakhis to trees in the park on the occasion.
