The programme is being implemented by the State Organic Farming Mission. Under this, a total of 174 such outlets will be opened across the State on September 28. “The outlets will work as buy-and-sell-centres. Farmers can sell their organic products there and even purchase such products,” said Organic Farming Mission Chairman Dr Anand A S.

He told reporters here on Friday that a total of 52,000 families have voluntarily enrolled in the mission who will be making use of the special outlets.

“About 300 families in each taluk have formed a trust among themselves to co-ordinate the mission. The Government has released Rs 42.15 crore to 174 taluks in this regard. The Agriculture Department will work as the nodal agency,” he informed.
