Labourers fast for Anna

They said that the hunger strike will continue till the Central government heeds to the demands of Anna Hazare. “We will not take even water till the government responds to our demands.”

He said “the movement will be successful when one member from each family participates in the hunger strike.”

“It was British who looted the country prior to the independence. Now it is the elected representatives who are looting us. When asked for Jan Lokpal Bill, the union government arrested the protestors. By trying to suppress the movement started by Anna Hazare, the elected representatives are sending us a message that they are involved in corruption. Anna is fighting to build a strong nation, free from corruption,” they added.

Stating that there is a need to send corrupt out of the country, the protestors said there is a need for second freedom movement in the country to free Indians from the clutches of corruption.

They took out a pledge that as a citizen of the country, they will fight against corruption and are taking part in the hunger strike on their own.
