Supporters of Anna go on rampage, damage cars

 A youth, who held the national flag, broke the windshields of a few cars parked in front of houses in K C Layout near Siddharthanagar, Lakshmipuram, Saraswathipuram and Narayana Shastry Road.

As many as four cars have been damaged in the incident and the group made away with a laptop and a DVD set in the cars, the police said.

Eyewitness accounts

Eyewitnesses recounted how the masked youth held the Tri-colour and raised slogans in support of Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption campaign.

“The identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained, We suspect that they were under the influence of alcohol. A case of theft and loss of property has been registered against them,” said City Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal.
