Gowda enquired about the health of Yeddyurappa, who is under treatment for high blood pressure and blood sugar, sources in the chief minister's secretariat said.
Sixty eight-year-old Yeddyurappa, who quit as chief minister after a Lokayukta report indicted him over illegal mining, was admitted on Saturday.
