Common campus for government hospitals

Addressing mediapersons on Tuesday, he said a meeting of top officials of the medical education, health and finance departments will be organised on Wednesday. The move would ensure security and monitoring of the campus. No private vehicles will be allowed inside, he said. The meeting will also discuss a blueprint to upgrade the facilities in the hospitals.

“A two-member committee of experts that recommended norms for regulating clinical trials in the State will submit its report within a fortnight.”

The committee comprising Dr A S Arvind, former researcher in Biocon, and Dr M Maiya, retired physician and cardiologist, will deal with issues related to clinical trial aspects, and norms necessary for regulation, mandatory procedures and practices.
