Suggest ways to end illegal mining: CM to CS

Gowda, while attending the meeting on mining on Tuesday, reportedly told officials that at present the government is legally handling the cases pertaining to the illegalities that have taken place so far.

But, in future such irregularities should not happen. Hence, officers of the mines and geology department should also suggest ways of putting a permanent system where there is no room for irregularities, he told the meeting.

The chief minister has reportedly said that if officials were vigilant at check-posts, such large scale illegal ore trade would not have taken place.
