The Chief Minister, who chaired a high-level meeting of the officers to review the progress of work on Reach-1 connecting M G Road and Byappanahalli, directed the BMRCL MD Sivasailam and BJP leader Dhananjay Kumar to obtain the safety certificate from the railway minister at the earliest.
Sadananda Gowda on his visit to Delhi on Friday met Union Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi and requested him to issue safety certificate in 10 days’ time.
The Minister for Railways has agreed to Gowda’s request. The date of inaugurating Namma Metro will be finalised only after obtaining the certificate and inspecting the progress of work.
