'Lalbagcha Raja' is the most prominent Ganesh pandal in the metropolis with its appeal cutting across all sections of society.

The man who has been designing the stoles adorning the idol for the last 19 years says he feels blessed for getting the opportunity to serve the Lord.

A tailor by profession, Rupesh Pawar said during the 10-day festival a different coloured stole is placed upon the deity every day. 20 stoles are designed for the deity, he added.
"This year, we are using the traditional 'Paithani' cloth from Yeola near Nashik for the pitambar," he told PTI.

He also said that speciality of the cloth used for making 'pitambar' is that it is made of Japanese satin, which is very smooth.
