Raid continued till late hours on Monday

While V V Lakshminarayana, DIG of CBI, took both the Reddys to Hyderabad, the others in the team continued the questioning of Janardhana Reddy’s wife Aruna Lakshmi, Srinivas Reddy’s wife Srilatha and their relatives.

The team came out of the houses with briefcases containing crucial documents and gold jewellery at 11.45 pm. They left under police protection. The team stayed overnight at a government guest house and left for Hyderabad in the morning. The vehicles of the two Reddys have also been seized. Superintendent of Police Dr Chandragupta said the CBI team left the city at 6 am on Tuesday and had been provided all necessary security.

Former minister B Sriramulu, a close aide of Janardhana Reddy, arrived here on Monday at 9.45 pm from Mysore and went straight to the residence of Reddy. Sriramulu was accompanied by Siruguppa MLA M S Somalingappa and Kampli MLA Suresh Babu. The former minister held discussions with the officials and came out of the house at 11.15 pm.
