2 lovers murdered

The crime came to light  on Wednesday.

Rural Police Station Inspector Basavaraja Telli said the bodies of Vinod Madki (25) and Renuka Madki (20) bore burn injury marks and were found in Sikandpur forest area. Police said the victims were in love. However, it was strongly objected  to by  Renuka’s brother Omkar as both were relatives.

They added that at the behest of Omkar,  his cousin Shailesh Madki reprimanded Vinod for having a relationship with Renuka. When Vinod declined to discontinue the relationship, Shailesh took Vinod to an isolated place near Sikandpur forest on Sunday and murdered him. On Monday, Omkar took his sister Renuka to the same place and murdered her, they added.
