Youth flees with Rs two lakh for sex change operation

When his employer gave him Rs two lakh to handover to a business associate, the 24-year-old resident of Rohini fell for it.

The youth was arrested for allegedly running away with Rs two lakh from his employer following investigations into a complaint filed by Virender Mohan, who owns a chemical manufacturing unit in Rohini, V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police (West), said.

"The accused told us that he stole the money to get silicon breast implant," Renganathan said, adding he wanted to undergo a sex change.

After committing theft of Rs two lakh, the official said, the accused deposited Rs one lakh at a private clinic in East Patel Nagar for the surgery.

"He did not have enough money but he got the opportunity when he was given Rs two lakh by his employer for delivery at Karol Bagh," Renganathan said.

On September six, Mohan handed over the money to the accused to be delivered at Karol Bagh. He was dropped at Janakpuri Metro Station but he did not reach his destination.

Following the police complaint, raids were conducted at different places int Delhi and technical surveillance was also done.

"Informers were also deputed and finally it was found that he was in Delhi only and was arrested from Baljeet Nagar. Rs 65,000 were recovered from his possession," Renganathan said.
