Bosch's new Power Tools training centre

Inaugurating the centre, Robert Bosch Gmbh, Member, Board of Management Rudolf Colm said the centre created with an investment of Rs 5 crore is one of the largest of its kind in the Bosch world.

Spread over 700 sq mt this centre will cater to training and development needs of over 5,000 people annually in India and in SAARC countries. Bosch said with this initiative it intended to reach out to approximately 15 million unskilled artisans in India.

Apart from artisans, the centre will also assist direct retail customers, retailers, dealers and internal staff along with faculties and students. At various companies, Bosch conducts Train-The-Trainer (TTT) programmes for instructor and faculty, who inturn conduct similar programmes for students and other users.

Bosch Power Tools India Vice President Vijay Pandey said “Bosch Vahan project,  mobile training van equipped with all power tools and accessories for hands on training, has already reached out to carpenters, plumbers and electricians.”
