Sub-inspector Naresh Pal and head constables Kunwarpal Singh, Ram Prakash Yadav and Pradeep Kumar were suspended after the accused, Mehdi Hasan, escaped from police custody yesterday, Special DG (Law and Order) Brijlal told reporters here.
He said Hasan and another person Bhura were arrested in Pilibhit in connection with desecration of the religious scripture at a Gurudwara in Kattaiya Pandra village in Amaria area on September 12.
