He was speaking after inaugurating the Prathiba Puraskara programme jointly organised by Department of Public Instruction and Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan at Kamalamahadi School on Wednesday.
While encouraging the students’ talent one has bear in mind the past legacy of Karnataka and emphasis should be given to preserve the art and culture of the State, expressed Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan’s Resource Person G Srinivas.
Children while dressing up like Gandhiji, Akkamahadevi and others should also imbibe their values only then can make a difference to their life and society, he added.
Sportive spirit
Srivinas urged the students to develop sportive spirit and not to confine themselves to victory or defeat.
District Primary School Teachers’ Association President R Anil Kumar opined that instead of arranging a competition between government and private schools which are create lot of hesitation among students. Hence separate competition should be held to encourage the students.
