Everytime she comes to Bangalore, she remembers shooting with Shivarajkumar for ‘Satya is in Love’. Though she has not been able to sign another Kannada movie after that, she is hoping that someday she can make a comeback.

With offers pouring in from all languages, it is a challenge but Genelia says the way she chooses her films has changed. “I am definitely not the same Genelia who made her debut in the Tamil movie, ‘Boys’.

At that time,  movies were for me an opportunity to experiment and establish myself. But today, they are more than that because I know that the films I am a part of will decide my fate for the rest of the year. I need to be careful,” says Genelia, who was in the City promoting her latest Bollywood film ‘Force’.

The film holds importance in Genelia’s career because the audience gets to see the actress shed her bubbly and cute image. If promos are anything to go by, then one can see that Genelia has worked a lot in changing her entire look to don a ‘sexy’ image.

“I knew this character would be a challenge. But I was up for it. People will get to see a different side of me. But that doesn’t mean I am ready to leave the ‘girl-next-door’ image aside. I am trying out variations,” says Genelia.

The movie also has a honeymoon song where Genelia is seen being rather intimate with her co-star John Abraham. “The sensuality and romance showed in the original, Kaakha Kaakha, was something I loved. I had no problems with being intimate on screen as long as there was no vulgarity and was done tastefully. And I have got great response to the song from my fans on Twitter and from people in the other industries as well,” she beams.

With the completion of her next project,Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya with Riteish Deshmukh, rumour mills are working extra time about her link-up and alleged engagement with the co-star. Ask her about it, the actress neither denies nor confirms it.

“I know there is a certain interest in my personal life but I will talk about my relationship when I am ready. I want to treat my personal space with dignity and if and when there is a marriage, I will surely not hide it from the world,” she signs off.
