The 26-year-old Formula One driver, who will be landing in the City on Tuesday morning, will bring to the fore his skills behind the wheel of an F1 car— MP4-23 (the car in which he won his world title in 2008)—before entertaining a select few in a Mercedes Benz sports variant.

What the former world champion would do to entertain the crowd is anyone’s guess but the hand-picked motor sport buffs can rest assured that it’s going to be an out of the world experience for them. Do-nuts (going in circles with the front wheel locked while the rear tyres turn viciously and emit smoke), back-up spin over (car in reverse, tucked around neatly to straighten out on the track), tyre burns and perhaps a couple of drifts would feature in Hamilton’s bag of tricks.

However, these jaw-dropping manoeuvres would probably only be seen in the sports roadster to be used for the piggy-back rides and not in the MP4.

At the venue, a 500-metre stretch on an unused section of NICE road, arrangements on one end of the set up and the length of the track will be made to hold a crowd of 4,000 but seating arrangements (2,500 general public seats) will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

The event will be held at the junction between NICE road and Bannerghatta Road, near the T John College and in the vicinity of Gottigere lake at 10:30 am. General public coming down from Bannerghatta can pass the toll gate and take the left at the approaching fork to get to the venue.

Two schools—Delhi Public School, Sarjapur and Indus International School—will bring in nearly 1,000 students to witness the event, while a number celebrities such as cricketers Javagal Srinath, Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey and actors Shiv Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, Upendra, Ramya, Aindrita Ray and Ragini Dwivedi will be making their presence felt.

Telecommunications major Vodafone Essar had announced a couple of contests for its subscribers wherein they get to “meet and greet” or go on a drive with the champ.
