As Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who attended the ceremony late on Tuesday afternoon, trained guns on the Centre terming Rajbala’s death as the ‘murder of an innocent.’ She accused the Union government of hounding Ramdev and his aide Bal Krishan by design.
Supporting Ramdev’s key aide Bal Krishan, who had been courting controversies including one over his citizenship and fake degree of Ayurveda, Sushma Swaraj said the issue of fake degrees of pilots, which concerns lives of people, was still to reach its logical end and the government was busy vigorously probing the alleged fake degree of Bal Krishan.
Next in the line of fire was Union minister Kapil Sibal who Sushma Swaraj said needed to explain his statement that no cane-charge was carried out during the police crackdown.
Baba Ramdev asquarely blaming the Centre for the death of Rajbala.Rakesh Malik, the victim's daughter-in-law, said Rajbala died from injuries she sustained in lathi blows. She accused the Delhi police of tampering with the MLC report. “Its been three-and-half-months since she was hospitalised and not an FIR has been registered in the case,” she said.
