Army officer dies in Kashmir gunfight

Three police personnel, including a Special Police Officer, and three militants were killed earlier.

Police and soldiers from 18 Grenadiers of the army Monday laid siege around Awathkul forest area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kralpora, a police officer had said.
"The holed up militants opened indiscriminate fire at the search parties," the officer added.
