The team comprised three girls, Daniela Heal, Daniela Castro and Vianeth and three boys, Yoember, Yorby and Cesar. Putting forth a magnificent show, the dancers mesmerised the audience for an hour flaunting their colourful costumes and amazing skills.

The audience was excited and curious to watch the performance. “We are going to present folk dances which are performed in Venezuela during festive season. All our performances are devotional and in praise of saints like Saint Juan, Saint Antonio and Saint Benito,” explained Daniela Heal before the show.

As soon as the artistes came on stage, they captivated the hearts of the audience. Their lively presentation and swift movements stole the hearts of many. They kept the audience at the edge of their seats by disclosing surprises in every piece.

They were extremely quick in changing their costumes and the bright colours and floral designs of their dresses made the performance even more attractive.

It came as a surprise when the folk artistes danced amidst the audience and even invited them to dance along with them.

A group of young kids joined the team and danced by waving flags in their own style. The concluding piece was a Calypso, a style of Afro-Caribbean music that originated from African and European roots. The energetic performance and the cheers made the audience shake a leg.

Daniela Castro said she was excited to perform in India. “Both India and Venezuela share a common trait — the diverse culture. So all the team members are very excited to perform in India. People are very nice and helpful here. We are also going to perform at the ‘Mysore Dasara Festival’. We are enjoying our stay in this country,” she said
excitedly.

“It was a spellbinding performance as the artistes enthralled the gathering from the beginning to the end. I wish it had continued for some more time as I was waiting for new steps at every moment,” said Rajath, a member of the audience.
