Last year the number of passengers carried was 2, 50,687 and earnings stood at Rs.81, 65,092.

To clear extra rush in the festive season, Mysore Division had run special train services towards Bangalore as also augmenting composition of several trains on Mysore – Arsikere section, according to a press release from sr divisional commercial manager Dr Anup Dayanand Sadhu.

All the eight booking counters at Mysore Railway station were fully operational round-the-clock to facilitate clearance of rush with minimum waiting time in the queue. An additional counter at Kuvempunagar computerised reservation centre was also opened to dispense “unreserved”  tickets in the above period, said the release here on Monday.
