The Election Commission  has given instructions to the officers to ensure all those leaders, who are not voters, leave the constituencies 48 hours before the polling starts. The Election Commission  has instructed the police to visit hotels, lodges and guest houses in the constituencies to identify outsiders.

Govindrajanagar, Channapatna, Ramangara, Chittapur and Kollegal constituencies are going for the polls in the State. All parties have intensified their campaign in these constituencies.

On Saturday, JD(S) held a public rally in Channapatna. Leaders of the Congress and the BJP held roadshows in Ramnagaram, Govindrajanagara.

Allegation
KPCC has alleged that supporters of the BJP candidate in Govindarajangar were creating an atmosphere of fear for Congress workers by filing false cases with the Election Commission against them.

KPCC general secretary Abdul Wahab, in a petition to the Election Commission, said that EC officers were raiding on residences of Congress workers at the instigation of the BJP candidate Somanna, who is also a minister in the Yeddyurappa cabinet.
