He told reporters that Team Anna should not fritter away the immense groundswell of support from the people. “The Lokpal Bill would be introduced in the winter session of parliament. We have accepted most of the recommendations of Anna Hazare,” said Moily.

He refused to comment on the jailing of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. Moily only said Yeddyurappa should have heeded the wise counsel of BJP veteran L K Advani not to indulge in wrongful acts, following allegations of corruption against Yeddyurappa.

He termed Advani’s ‘Rath Yatra’, whose aim is to create awareness against corruption, as only a fair. “Corruption is not being weeded out in the real sense of the term,” Moily said.

Schools in rural areas require more facilities than those in the urban areas. Governments should provide more facilties to these schools, Moily said.

Addressing the students at the NSS camp organised for Government Girls’ School students, he advised them to concentrate on their studies.

N Sampangi talked about the facilities provided by the government to encourage education in the State and suggested the students to utilise these programmes to the maximum.
