'Bypolls augur ill for Gowda'

Last Updated 16 August 2009, 18:16 IST

“Father and sons are now shedding tears to gain voters’ confidence. They are now pleading either to ensure victory or give poison. People who gave poison to people are now reduced to this state,” the minister chided. He was speaking after accepting a felicitation at the BJP office, here on Saturday.

Predicting that Janata Dal (Secular) will be decimated on account of the Gowda’s attitude, the minister said that it forms the ardent duty of each and every BJP worker to ensure that nepotism and one man upmanship do not creep into party organisation.

Bachegowda said that there is a need to organise the party with more vigour and vitality in Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts. “A strengthened organisation assures victory in all elections in future,” he noted. He  called upon party cadres to take up their work with an eye on Gram Panchayat and Legislative Council elections slated for next January.

District BJP unit president Sriram, vice-president Jagadeeshwarachar, Ramaraj and others were present.
