B Mohith, a class four student of Sudarshan School in Tilak Nagar, was bursting crackers on the terrace of the building located just behind the Mico Layout police station when he heard a loud sound of a cracker below.
A curious Mohith ran to see what was happening below. But as he leaned over the parapet wall, he lost his foothold and fell, police said.
Mohith was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead. His body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem at the Victoria Hospital on Friday. Mico Layout police have booked a case of unnatural death.
