JOIN USA parade by the CISF, Port Fire Service and NCC unit was taken out on the occasion. The Chairman distributed cash awards to the children of NMPT employees and RCHW workers, NMPT English and Kannada medium schools and Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Panambur, who secured the highest marks in the SSLC and 12th standard exams held in April 2009.
Uniforms to the students of NMPT English and Kannada Medium Schools and note books to all the students of Government Higher Primary Zilla Panchayat School at Panambur were also distributed on the occasion.
As part of the celebrations, the Chairman, HoDs, Trustees, invitees and employees planted saplings.
Cultural programmes were organised in the evening to mark the occasion, informed a press release.
