JOIN USSouth Sudan striker James Moga was the hero of Sporting Clube’s amazing triumph with a brilliant hat-trick while Nigerian midfielder Ogba Kalu scored the other goal for the winners. Edeh Chidi and Ryuji Sueoka were on target for Salgaocar.
Salgaocar took the lead through Sueoka in the third minute. Sporting Clube equalised through Moga and he himself made it 2-1 in the 27th minute. Chidi then equalised for the defending champions before Kalu (64th) and Moga (65th) struck in quick succession to make it 4-2.
In another match, Prayag United SC secured their first three points of the season after posting a 5-1 win over Pune FC at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
Lalkamal Bhowmick (5th), Josimar (16th, 55th, 80th) and Vincent (77th) struck for Prayag.
Pune FC managed to pull one back through Arata Izumi in the 29th minute.
