According to police, the victim Sandesh Kamble was watching television after returning from his computer repairing course at night.
Suddenly his father Meghnath emerged and asked him to switch off the TV set. However, Sandesh refused to do so, which led to an altercation between the two.
The enraged father warned his son several times, but when Sandesh continued to defy him, he went inside the kitchen and brought a knife, and stabbed the young man in the chest. A shaken father and others rushed Sandesh to a nearby private hospital, but he was declared dead before admission.
Meghnad has been arrested and sent to custody on charge of murder.
